The performance bagger phenomenon continues to gather momentum globally, pushing the boundaries of what a V-twin touring platform can be. From Taipei, the team at FANGSTER saw the trend emerging and met it head-on. When a client handed them the keys to a 2017 Street Glide, they seized the opportunity to apply their signature style. The goal was clear: to build a machine that blends exceptional aesthetics with a dramatic improvement in handling and road presence, all while navigating the complexities of local regulations. The result is a build that stands as a testament to thoughtful integration and top-tier component selection.
Chapter 01
Purposeful Power and Sound
While the core of the Harley-Davidson V-twin remains, its supporting cast has been entirely upgraded for performance and style. A Fangster air cleaner allows the engine to breathe more freely, paired with a TBR Shorty 2-into-1 exhaust system that provides a suitably aggressive soundtrack and improved gas flow. The aesthetic is just as important as the function here. The engine is dressed in a suite of Fangster's own components, including rocker, cam, and derby covers from their 'Gold Color Collection.' This decision not only brands the engine but creates a tight, cohesive visual theme that carries through the entire motorcycle. It’s a masterclass in enhancing the iconic V-twin without compromising its fundamental character.

A Revolution in Handling Dynamics
The most significant transformation lies in the chassis. The stock front end was replaced with a complete Rebuffini Nexo 5.0 inverted fork setup, clamped in beefy yokes and paired with their radial brake calipers. At the rear, Legend REVO ARC shocks provide control and compliance. The rolling stock is equally serious, with BST ‘Twin Tek’ carbon fiber wheels dramatically reducing unsprung weight. These are shod in modern Bridgestone Battlax T32 sport-touring rubber and halted by Lyndall Bow-Tie cut rotors. This isn't just a collection of bolt-on parts; it’s a complete systems approach to turning a heavyweight tourer into a canyon-capable machine with vastly improved stability, steering response, and stopping power.
Chapter 03
An Aggressive and Cohesive Identity
Visually, the bike sheds its touring origins for a much more aggressive stance. A complete suite of bodywork from DirtyBird Composites, including the fairing, saddlebags, and side covers, creates a sleeker profile. Up front, the lighting has been upgraded to a rally-inspired Baja Designs LP6 Pro headlight flanked by S1 turn signals, giving the bike a unique and purposeful face. The visual centerpiece is the paintwork by Jeffrey's Finishing Touch, blending matte textures with sharp gold graphics and subtle carbon fiber veneer accents by Simon Fiber Craft. Fangster's own risers, grips, and floorboards complete the high-performance rider interface, creating a unified and meticulously finished build.
