Titanium Dragon: A SYM DRG BT with Soul

The goal was never just a cosmetic exercise. To give the dragon its fire, the SYM engine has been significantly reworked. The build features a 67mm big bore kit, a common but serious upgrade in this scene, paired with a reinforced 1000-stripe crankshaft to handle the increased stress. Performance is further amplified by a NOS nitrous oxide system, a surprising addition that speaks to the extreme level of this build. To keep temperatures in check under load, both oil and water cooling systems have been integrated, ensuring the heavily tuned single-cylinder engine maintains stability. This is a powertrain built not just for looks, but for serious, if brief, bursts of acceleration.

With a heavily modified engine, the chassis and suspension required a complete overhaul. The front end is now managed by a set of gold-anodized GJMS FSX inverted forks, a premium choice known for its improved rigidity and damping control. In the rear, a Shark Factory X2E electronically controlled shock absorber allows for on-the-fly adjustments, balancing comfort and performance. The scooter rolls on a set of DG forged wheels, reducing unsprung weight for better responsiveness. Braking power is supplied by Bafengte radial calipers on both the front and rear wheels, providing the necessary force to rein in the newfound performance. Every component is a deliberate choice to create a balanced, rideable machine despite the extreme power modifications.

Visually, the build is dominated by its dragon theme and an astonishing application of exotic materials. The bodywork is coated in a chameleon-effect paint from Duya, shifting colors in the light. This is overlaid with a stunning, hand-painted dragon head on the front shield, giving the machine its face. Forged carbon fiber appears on the windscreen and other small accents, but the real story is the titanium. Dozens of components, from the handlebars and side stand to the radiator guard and transmission cover, are crafted from titanium and feature custom laser-engraved patterns. This theme continues down to the smallest details, with nearly every visible bolt replaced with a titanium equivalent. The exhaust, a genuine Akrapovič silencer, has even been custom-engraved to match.

The cockpit is a microcosm of the entire build: overwhelmingly detailed yet somehow cohesive. Custom titanium handlebars and a matching stem are covered in intricate laser-etched traditional patterns, echoing the dragon scale motif seen elsewhere. The master cylinders for the front and rear brakes are high-end aftermarket units, clamped to the bars with more iridescent titanium hardware. Even the mirror stems are custom titanium pieces. This area showcases the builder's dedication to replacing functional, but plain, stock components with custom-made parts that double as jewelry. It's a level of personalization that goes far beyond simply bolting on available accessories.
