TAIWANESE SCOOTER BUILD

The Everything Scooter

From the heart of Taiwan’s vibrant tuning scene, A-Bin Motorcycle Shop transforms a utilitarian SYM 4MICA into a rolling exhibit of high-performance obsession.

In the world of custom builds, function and form often pull in opposite directions. But some creations defy easy categorization. This SYM 4MICA, a scooter designed for pure utility, has been reimagined by A-Bin Motorcycle Shop in Taiwan. The project discards all convention, elevating the humble workhorse into a no-compromise showcase of chassis engineering and top-tier componentry. It's a machine that blurs the lines between a delivery bike and a track weapon, asking a simple question: what if a commuter scooter was built with the same obsessive detail as a superbike?

Chapter 01

A Foundation of Control

The SYM 4MICA’s transformation begins with its chassis, where the stock, cost-effective components have been completely replaced. Handling is now governed by a high-end GJMS FSX front fork, mounted via a custom-machined triple tree for precise geometry. In the rear, a pair of fully-adjustable GJMS GP6 RT H/L shocks connect to a bespoke CNC-machined swingarm. This combination creates an incredibly rigid and responsive platform. The upgrade is completed with a set of lightweight G-pro GT18 forged wheels, which reduce unsprung weight and sharpen steering inputs. Wrapped in sticky Dunlop TT93 tires, the scooter’s new foundation is built not for comfort, but for absolute road-holding and feedback.

"It’s a rolling catalog of top-shelf parts, where every single component is an exercise in engineering extremity."

Chapter 02

Uncompromising Stopping Power

To balance the chassis’ newfound potential, the braking system was given an equally radical overhaul. The entire system is a catalog of Japan’s best. Control comes from Galespeed VRE radial master cylinders for both front and rear brakes, offering exceptional feel and power. These push fluid through custom Triones braided steel lines to a formidable set of Galespeed calipers—a 100mm radial-mount unit up front and an 84mm "big crab" caliper in the rear. They bite down on oversized, custom-made brake discs, measuring 260mm and 220mm, respectively. This level of braking performance is unheard of on a small-displacement scooter and speaks to the build’s money-is-no-object philosophy.

Chapter 03

A Dual Identity

While the underlying hardware is consistent, the build has been presented in two distinct visual styles, demonstrating the platform’s versatility. One version features a clean, almost stealthy gray finish that accentuates the raw mechanical beauty of the components. The other adopts a rugged, military-meets-motorsport aesthetic with a blue digital camouflage wrap, anodized blue details, and a full complement of hard luggage. This adventure-style setup suggests a machine ready for anything. Across both versions, the obsessive attention to detail is unified by a complete conversion to titanium hardware, a final touch that confirms its status as a top-tier showpiece.

This SYM 4MICA from A-Bin Motorcycle Shop is a testament to the passion and skill of Taiwan's scooter tuning community. It ignores convention and budget, focusing instead on the art of what’s possible. It’s a functional paradox—a utilitarian workhorse elevated into a piece of high-performance jewelry, built not for any practical purpose, but purely for the admiration of the craft.
