From Taipei, Taiwan, comes a Harley-Davidson build that redefines the modern performance cruiser. The team at FANGSTER took a 2015 Softail Breakout and, in a landmark collaboration with Motorcycle Storehouse, sculpted it into the "Rev Falcon." Their philosophy was not to reinvent the wheel, but to amplify the Breakout's inherent strengths—its long rake, wide tire, and muscular stance. The result is a machine that exudes a palpable sense of speed, every line and component honed to create a drag-style masterpiece that respects its factory origins while pushing the boundaries of custom design. It's a rolling showcase for FANGSTER's growing parts catalog and a testament to their vision, already earning a second-place trophy at the 2025 Speed & Crafts show.

Chapter 01

Engineered for Flow

At the heart of the Rev Falcon remains the Harley-Davidson powerplant, its performance identity sharpened by a suite of FANGSTER's own components. The engine is dressed with the shop’s rocker, point, and derby covers, creating a unified and branded aesthetic. A high-flow Fangster air cleaner, framed in a distinctive housing, hints at improved breathing, while the custom exhaust, a joint effort with Jzo.crafts, snakes low along the bike's right side. The focus here wasn't a radical power chase, but a holistic integration of performance parts that complement the build's overall design language. Every piece feels deliberate, contributing to a visual flow that starts at the front wheel and doesn't stop, ensuring the mechanical elements are as much a part of the styling as the painted bodywork.

"Our design philosophy was to think about what possibilities design could bring to the Breakout without changing the original OEM package."

Chapter 02

Chassis, Control, and Stance

To achieve their vision of a slammed, drag-inspired profile while retaining rideability, FANGSTER executed a series of sophisticated chassis upgrades. The factory Softail swingarm is now managed by a Legend Air suspension system, allowing the ride height to be dropped at will, tucking the rear wheel deep into the fender. The front end is a showcase of premium componentry, combining a Rebuffini triple tree with Öhlins NIX22 internals and Performance Machine lower legs for superior handling. Braking is a masterclass in custom integration. Up front, an Arlen Ness eight-piston inboard caliper grabs a custom rotor, while the rear features a cleverly engineered pulley-brake setup, hiding an Arlen Ness six-piston caliper to keep the lines exceptionally clean. This commitment to engineering maintains the OEM wheels but elevates the hardware to a truly bespoke level.

Chapter 03

An Exercise in Aerodynamic Detailing

The Rev Falcon’s bodywork is where FANGSTER’s design philosophy truly comes alive. Every piece, from the sharp headlight cowl to the sculpted fuel tank and tail section, was designed in-house to create a visual language of speed. Lines are pulled tight, translating the angles of the frame and forks into the bike's silhouette. The cockpit is a standout feature, drawing inspiration from the world of road cycling. The team fabricated a one-off stainless steel handlebar, narrowing the profile and creating a custom aerodynamic shape using 3D printing, which was then wrapped in carbon fiber. This detail, combined with the Koso D2 speedometer integrated directly into the riser and Rebuffini hand controls, creates an incredibly clean and purposeful rider environment. It’s a functional tribute to racing performance that is already slated for mass production.

Chapter 04

A Livery of Speed and Precision

The bike's stunning visual identity is cemented by the paintwork from Jeffrey's Finishing Touch. The scheme, inspired by the technical look of bird wings, uses a unique greenish-gray base infused with Aogai foil. Over this, silver leaf graphics are dyed with a translucent blue candy, creating sharp, feather-like lines that sweep across the bodywork. This aesthetic flows seamlessly into the custom Fangster seat. Upholstered in Alcantara, it features three-color stitching that perfectly matches the fuel tank's lines and the overall color palette. In a clever twist on tradition, the classic diamond stitch pattern is applied only to the front half, leaving a clean space for an engraved Fangster logo—a subtle, premium touch that eschews common patches or embroidery for a more refined, bespoke finish.
